Jane's training started without the aid of props, or really anything at all. Jane and JJ were in the office in New York. A messy place full of boxes and odd things. JJ had a bullwhip in one of those boxes.

He turned on the camera and Jane, the willing participant, started her training.

There was another time in a hotel in a hot city.

Later, in another country, JJ had his handyman construct a wooden contraption in JJ's bedroom. It wasn't pretty, but that wasn't the point.
