The first of the Seven Days
on the Cross begins after the capture
of Varinia, under the suspicion that she is part of
a plot against the empire. She's taken to where she
will be made an example. The orders are to make her
last seven days under torture.
Although the intention is to make her give the names
of the co-conspirators, the real reason for her long
and painful martyrdom is to dissuade others to start
such a plot.
