At one point in my tour of Camille's
body with the camera I realized what she was
doing. She was following my old direction, she
was acting out the moment she was going to perform
in a few days. She was dying slowly.
At one moment she let her head drop back, her
eyes open, fixed in nothing, beyond the walls,
beyond the ceiling. That was my clue.
I got near Camille and grabbed her head, pushing
it forward.
She let her head fall forward, as if her muscles
were no longer working, her eyes were still
open fixed beyond anything, just like I taught
her for the role.
She was done, she was 'dead', the session was
over. I was glad.
I walked back to set the camera on the tripod
again, to get a longer shot of her limp, hanging
body before ending the session. |
