The Training of Camille
- Session 2 - Page 1 |
|

For our second
session I decided to have a little of more
action. I had to advance in her training for
this very important role. We were days away
from the start of the shooting of the movie
and she had to be ready for the scene where
in her role as the twin sister, she's the
victim of a psycho. |

I was very concerned about
how she would react to what I wanted her
to portray. The first time we worked on
this scene she did well, better than I had
hoped. I have to admit I was less worried
this time around except for one thing; I
was falling for her in a big way. And while
that was a problem in itself, I had another
one. I wanted Camille to go beyond the role
I was preparing her for. I felt that if
she did, she could be THE ONE. |

It is not easy to have someone
like Camille to do what I had in mind. Margot
worked with me and when she did, she was wonderful
but Margot didn't want to continue. I tried
working with another of the actrecess I was
preparing, it was an spontaneous moment for
which I was un-prepared. It happened before
I began writing the story I'm about to shoot.

A small group of my actors and
I were having a drink, discussing the yet
unwritten project, when I put a cassette in
my stereo: The music from Twin Peaks. MaRe,
the one female in the group, said something
intriguing. "I love that series,
I fantasize about the girl that gets killed,
this music gives me thrills". I
took that as a message, maybe not directed
to me. I had to get rid of the two other guys.
