The
Training of Camille - Session 2 - Page 30

I saw Camille's body through
the lens, my amateur illumination was not
bad at all. The effect of the light and the
shade on her body were excellent. Not what
I would consider a proffessional shoot, but
great looking amateur image. There was something
artistic that perhaps was not totally intended.
The lack of resources forced me to consider
a minimalist style of work, where the less
I used, the better.

And so it was, that all
of a sudden I began thinking Caravaggio. Minimalist
painting that concentrates on the body. That's
when I thought that I would use a similar
light setting for the film. To avoid showing
more than needed. I applauded myself silently
still mesmerized by Camille who was still
full of surprises. I took the rod. |

There were very few films where
sadomasochism was treated in a way that I
would like. Growing up, consciouss of my preferences,
sexual, sensual preferences, I was attracted
to art. Only good art provide me the inspiration,
the awe that I was searching. And mostly old
art. Old paintings, carvings, drawings. I
leaned to a romantic view of the world and
of suffering. Very catholic of me. |
